What I want in 2010

Postby Sal » Fri Dec 18, 2009 9:49 am

Name one thing in comics you would love to see next year.

For me: Geoff Johns and Mike Norten working on a Shazam series of OGN's for the DC Earth One line.

Make Billy Batson a teenager and get rid of the silly idea of him having to be 12 years old. I still think the core concept of Captain Marvel is a good one but it needs to be removed from it's own history and updated.

For Flash Rebirth #6 to come out - I guess it is solicited for March 2010. :frust:

I just want a flash book to read. Thank God Johns has him prominently featured in Blackest Night.

Wait... what? March? It's going to take another 3 months to get the conclusion?

for my LCS not to close down like i hear it is going to. this comes from good intel from a friend who works there. to be fair it's the owners fault for not paying back taxes and getting into debt. they haven't had new books in 2 months. looks like it's time for dcbs

My LCS was bought by a local Pokemon player that frequented the store. So it's still open, Yay!

a job (but that's a whole different topic altogether).

personally i would like to see a new indie creator start an ongoing series this year that's intent on using each issue to tell a story but with an ongoing narrative. after reading some of erik larsen's twitter rants from the last few weeks as well as cbr's best of the decade piece on cerebus, i think this is what the industry needs atm.

You guys with your trades and your DVDs - you're like babies. And when you cry for that titty, that titty is right there - it appears as if by magic. You're a bunch of crybabies, and those of you wishing for the demise of the monthly comic book and the rise of a trade only really are the biggest babies of the lot. - Erik Larsen

I'm in the middle of my switch to trades, so I want DC to get their act together on their soft cover collections. People have been wanting this for years now, so I don't think it will happen.

I'll second this, especially since I'm trade-waiting all the New Krypton stuff and will probably do so on Brightest Day, as well.
